There are some books that seem like coming home no matter how many times you read them. These sorts of books comfort you when there’s no one there to tuck you in, or when your tea has gone bitter and cold. When you’re hurting too much it’s these sorts of books that seem to bind the wounds and say that you aren’t as alone as you think you are.
The following books have done just that for me. If you decide to read any of them, I’d love to hear your take!
- Abarat (Clive Barker)
- Tamsin (Peter S. Beagle)
- Entwined (Heather Dixon)
- The Cuckoo’s Calling (Robert Galbraith)
- The Fire Rose (Mercedes Lackey)
- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (J.K. Rowling)
